01st April 2012 – Updated some plugins related to the contact page and gallery today. The images displayed on the slider have also been changed.
6th February 2012 – Just a few statistics. Out of all visitors to the site since the re-launch, 66% have been in the UK and 31% in the USA with a few percent from other countries around the world. Rather predictably, the biggest searches on Google for the site are for ‘andrews’, ‘urc’ and ‘meols’.
5th February 2012 – Updated the Notices page to be a static page rather than a post format. As was quite rightly pointed out, there is no need for people to read old notices so the static page will be updated each week and is presented in full when you click on the page.
24th January 2012 – After 5 days live and with accurate keywording and meta searching tags and SEO data in place, the website has already achieved a great ranking in Google and Bing. Searching in Google for ‘st andrews urc’ currently puts the site 7th in a list of 202,000. In Bing the same search puts us second in the list out of 101,000 results (this assumes the search is done in the UK). If you make things a bit more unique and enter ‘urc meols’ we are number 1!! While not essential, it’s great to see things working as they should.
24th January 2012 – Added URC logo to header.
21st January 2012 – Submitted site onto Google Analytics for tracking.
20th January 2012 – The new website went live for the first time today. I anticipate a lot of tweaking and changing over the next week to get things right but the general look and design is in place.
